Desde aqu\u00ed se tomaban las decisiones pol\u00edticas, econ\u00f3micas y religiosas m\u00e1s importantes que afectaban un vasto territorio, abarcando casi la totalidad del actual estado de Michoac\u00e1n, as\u00ed como partes de Guerrero, el Estado de M\u00e9xico, Guanajuato y Jalisco.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-family: Poppins;\">La ciudad se levant\u00f3 sobre amplias terrazas y grandes plataformas que se acomodan en las laderas de los cerros Yarahuato y Tariaqueri. Sobre estas estructuras se construyeron casas, edificios religiosos y administrativos.
